GACC: China's Jan-May foreign trade value up 2.5% YoY

Over January-May, China's foreign trade value climbed by 2.5% on year to Yuan 17.94 trillion ($2.5 trillion), according to the latest release by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) on June 9. Within the total, the value of the country's exports rose 7.2% on year to Yuan 10.67 trillion, while that of imports slipped by 3.8% on year to Yuan 7.27 trillion, the Customs data showed.

For May alone, China's trade value amounted to Yuan 3.81 trillion, higher by 2.7% on year though down 0.7% on month, among which exports gained by 6.3% on year and 0.6% on month to Yuan 2.28 trillion, while imports settled at 1.53 trillion last month, down 2.1% on year
