China and US reach framework in principle to implement the consensus, Chinese side says

Following the agreement reached during the US-China talks in Geneva in mid-May, delegations from the two countries held the first meeting under the economic and trade consultation mechanism in London on June 9-10 local time.

Li Chenggang, China's International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, told reporters after the two-day meeting, that the US and Chinese teams had engaged in in-depth, professional, rational and candid communication, and in principle, both sides reached a framework for implementing the consensus reached during the June 5
