Joint agreement reached to 'decarbonize' Pilbara-Asia shipping corridor

NH3 Clean Energy, an Australian company focused on reducing carbon emissions by providing clean energy solutions, has signed a Joint Development Agreement with Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) and Oceania Marine Energy to develop low-emissions ammonia bunkering operations at the Port of Dampier, according to the company's announcement on June 10.

The Dampier port ammonia bunkering operations, expected to be completed by 2030, will use 'clean' ammonia as a fuel for bulk carriers that ship iron ore exports from Australian producers to customers across Asia, the company said.
