China Chemical Engineering Second Construction Corporation (CNCEC) achieved a milestone at the 40,000-ton high-grade nickel matte project for Huaxing Nickel Indonesia on June 14, with the successful installation of the first steel column for its raw materials storage shed. The operation, witnessed by the project owner and supervision team, marks the official transition of the feedstock system into main steel structure construction.
Located within the IPIP Industrial Park in Pomalaa, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, the project encompasses civil works and electromechanical installation across 39 units. The China branch is responsible for five key areas: 100 Series (Feedstock System), 200 Series (Smelting Area), 300 Series (Auxiliary Facilities), 500 Series (Smelter Water Supply & Drainage), 600 Series (Public Utilities).
