GACC: China's primary aluminum imports drop 11% MoM in May

China imported 223,202 tonnes of primary aluminum in May, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), representing a 10.91% decline from April but a 41.38% leap from May 2024.

The May result meant that over the first five months of this year, China's total imports of primary aluminum reached approximately 1.06 million tonnes, down by 3.74% from the same period last year, the GACC data showed.
