CMIF: Added value of China's machinery sector grows 9% YoY in H1

The added value of China's machinery industry posted significant on-year growth of 9% during the first half of this year, higher by 2.6 percentage points from that in the country's industrial sector overall, according to the latest data released by the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) on August 4. The score was also up 2 percentage points compared with the country's manufacturing sector, the data show.

Among the five major sectors within the machinery industry category, the electrical machinery sector recorded the sharpest on-year growth at 12.2%, followed by automobile manufacturing with an on-year rise of 11.3%, both of which drove the machinery industry's overall expansion.
