China's imports of ternary precursors in August 2025 reached 281 tonnes, an increase of 136 tonnes or 94.1% compared to the previous month, and a significant increase of 241 tonnes or 593.9% compared to the same period last year. Among them, imports of nickel-cobalt-manganese hydroxide (NCM) amounted to 281 tonnes.
From January to August, China's cumulative imports of ternary precursors totaled 1,269 tonnes, reflecting a decrease of 37.0% compared to the same period last year.
