On September 20th, the first phase lithium carbonate project of Luopu Xihai New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. was put into operation at the Kungang Economic and Technological Development Zone (Nonferrous Metals Industrial Park) in Luopu County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Luopu Xihai New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xinjiang Xihai Lithium Industry Group Co., Ltd.
It is understood that the total investment in this project amounts to Yuan 4.6 billion. Upon reaching full production capacity in its first phase, the project will be capable of processing 300,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate annually, with an output of 30,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate per year.
