On September 22, during the 2025 Sichuan Tour for Prominent Chinese and Foreign Enterprises, the Suining Municipal People's Government signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the global power battery giant CATL. The two parties will jointly advance the construction of Zero-Carbon.
It is understood that through four ten-billion-yuan level cooperation projects encompassing existing supply, incremental capacity, related investments, and zero-carbon infrastructure, the two sides aim to create zero-carbon scenarios. This initiative positions Suining as a primary supporting base for the green and low-carbon supply chain of the global lithium-ion new energy industry, injecting new momentum into addressing global carbon barriers and promoting high-quality industrial development.
The main contents of the four "ten-billion-yuan" projects include:
1) CATL will procure lithium battery materials from Suining worth over Yuan 10 billion annually.
2) An additional annual procurement of lithium battery materials from Suining worth over Yuan 10 billion is anticipated.
3) CATL will recommend related companies within its industrial chain to make new fixed asset investments in Suining exceeding Yuan 10 billion.
4) The partnership will drive related zero-carbon investments exceeding Yuan 10 billion in fields such as virtual power plants, distributed energy, and charging/battery swap infrastructure.
