NBS: China's manufacturing PMI rises further in September

China's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector continued to recover in September to reach 49.8, rising for a second month, albeit by a tiny 0.4 point from August. according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on September 30.

Manufacturing production remained relatively buoyant in September, with the sub-index of production expanding to 51.9, higher by 1.1 points from the reading in August, the NBS statistics showed. That of new orders still stayed below the threshold of 50 at 49.7, though the sub-index was heading in the right
