On October 18, GEM stated on the interactive platform that on the cobalt resource front, the company has strengthened its independent control over cobalt resources through the Urban Mines & Indonesian Mineral Resources strategy.
In 2024, the company's cobalt recycling volume reached 10,128 tonnes, exceeding 350% of China's primary cobalt mining output. Additionally, the company's nickel smelting projects in Indonesia have an associated cobalt resource annual production capacity of approximately 12,000 metal tonnes. In the first half of 2025, the company's Indonesian nickel smelting projects produced 3,667 tonnes of cobalt metal, a year-on-year increase of 125%.
