Sumitomo Metal Mining reported nickel production of 22,900 tonnes for the third quarter of 2025 (Q2 of FY2025), representing a 5.32% increase from the previous quarter and a 3.31% rise compared to the same period last year.
The production consisted of 16,500 tonnes of electrolytic nickel, 4,800 tonnes of nickel sulfate, and 1,600 tonnes of ferronickel (FeNi). Meanwhile, the production of nickel-cobalt sulfide the company's Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) project in the Philippines totaled 9,900 tonnes in nickel content, down 15.38% quarter-on-quarter and 17.82% year-on-year.
