On November 11, CATL announced that it recently officially signed a comprehensive 10-year strategic cooperation agreement with GAC Group in Panyu, Guangdong. According to the announcement, this collaboration extends beyond supply chain synergy to encompass full-chain co-creation from technological R&D to energy ecosystems. The partnership aims to jointly develop the technological foundation and user experience for next-generation intelligent electric vehicles, setting a new benchmark for long-term cooperation in the industry.
CATL stated that it will collaborate with GAC Group on joint R&D in cutting-edge fields such as intelligent chassis and battery swap ecosystems. Leveraging CATL's extensive expertise in power batteries, energy storage systems, and energy services, the two parties will work together to create more competitive EV models.
The cooperation extends beyond technological R&D. The two companies will also deepen long-term collaboration in business segments such as battery leasing and joint infrastructure development, fully promoting the development of the Chocolate Battery Swap ecosystem. Together, they aim to build an efficient and convenient energy service network, enabling users to truly experience the swap-and-go convenience.
