On November 21, at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, Feng Xingya, Chairman of GAC Group, revealed that the pilot production line for GAC's all-solid-state battery has been completed and commenced trial production. This achievement marks the industry's first establishment of conditions for mass manufacturing of automotive-grade all-solid-state batteries with capacities above 60 Ah, representing a critical step toward the goal of small-batch installation in vehicles.
Currently, GAC's solid-state battery technology primarily follows a sulfide-composite-based route. In April 2024, GAC unveiled its all-solid-state power battery technology, announcing that it had initially established the full-cycle manufacturing process for all-solid-state batteries and achieved key breakthroughs in mass-production technologies for automotive-grade, high-safety, large-capacity all-solid-state power batteries. The technology demonstrates three core advantages, including ultra-high energy density, ultra-high safety, and large-capacity all-solid-state cells, with plans for installation in Hyper models by 2026.
