GACC: China's chrome ore imports dip in Oct, with South African shipments off 6.5%

China's chrome ore imports edged down 2.1% on month in October to 2.22 million tonnes, according to new data released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC).
Despite the monthly decline, imports remained robust last month, surging by 44.6% compared to the same month last year, the data show.   The jump in imports aligns with the country's record-high production of high-carbon ferrochrome (HC FeCr) which climbed to a new peak last month, ensuring demand for the feedstock
