On December 8, LG Energy Solution announced that it has signed a contract with Mercedes-Benz Group AG to supply power batteries, with the contract valued at 2.06 trillion Korean won (approximately Yuan 9.89 billion).
LGES stated that the supply will commence in March 2028 and continue until June 2035, accounting for 8% of the company's 25.6 trillion won annual sales in 2024. The batteries are intended for markets in North America and Europe, though the arrangement may be subject to changes. LG Energy Solution noted that the contract volume, duration, and other terms may be adjusted based on agreements with the customer.
