According to the report, China Automotive New Energy Battery Technology Co., Ltd. and Belgium's AVESTA recently held an official signing ceremony at the Tianjin headquarters for a strategic cooperation agreement on energy storage with a capacity of 2 GWh.
AVESTA, introduced as a leading enterprise in the European battery manufacturing sector, has established a closed-loop ecosystem spanning the entire industrial chain from R&D to manufacturing to recycling. Its core business focuses on the research, development, and scaled production of next-generation solid-state batteries. In August 2025, the company formally signed an agreement to establish its presence in the Jintan Economic Development Zone, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, marking a crucial step in its Asian market strategy and laying a solid foundation for this cross-border cooperation.
Both parties expressed their commitment to building a long-term and stable strategic partnership starting from this agreement, aiming to jointly explore new opportunities in the international energy storage market.
