In early December, Anhui Axxiva New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and U.S. Horizon officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, Horizon will secure 1 GWh of solid-state battery production capacity from Axxiva New Energy Technology for the mass production and deployment of its Class 3–8 zero-emission specialized trucks. It is reported that Horizon plans to deploy these batteries in its specialized vehicle lineup, including delivery vans, tow trucks, recovery vehicles, sweepers, refrigerated trucks, and municipal vehicles.
Both Axxiva New Energy Technology and Horizon stated that this collaboration will accelerate the large-scale adoption of solid-state batteries in the North American specialized vehicle market. As the project progresses, further details regarding the partnership will be released in due course.
