On December 10, Zijin Mining held the ignition and commissioning ceremony for its Xiangyuan Hard-Rock Lithium-containing Polymetallic Mine, beneficiation, and smelting project in Daoxian County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. The project broke ground in March 2024 and successfully commenced operations on the same day, marking a construction period of over 600 days.
The Xiangyuan Hard-Rock Lithium-containing Polymetallic Mine in Daoxian County is a rare large-scale, low-grade hard-rock lithium polymetallic deposit in China, containing associated resources of metals such as tin, tungsten, rubidium, and cesium. The registered ore reserves total approximately 196 million tonnes, with lithium oxide resources amounting to 670,000 tonnes, with a total project investment of Yuan 13 billion.
