China will bring 300 steel products under export licensing administration starting January 1 2026, according to a joint announcement by the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) and the General Administration of Customs (GACC) released on the evening of December 12. The move follows adjustments to the country's Export License Management Goods Directory (2025).
