NBS: China's Jan-Nov FAI drops 2.6%, property investment slumps by larger 15.9% YoY

China's fixed asset investment (FAI) dropped by 2.6% on year to Yuan 44.4 trillion ($6.3 trillion) during January-November, according to the latest release from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on December 15. The result further expanded the 1.7% on-year decline logged during the first ten months and touched a three-year low, Mysteel’s tracking showed.
Within the total, the cumulative funding for the country's property sector over the first eleven months registered Yuan 7.86 trillion, contracting by a significant 15.9% compared to the year-ago level.   Over January-November, the tertiary industry still attracted the most funding among the three major economic sectors, with total investment reaching Yuan 27.3 trillion.
