Recently, the Hefei Ecological Environment Bureau in Anhui Province released the Second Environmental Impact Assessment Public Notice (Draft for Public Comments) for the Lithium Battery Recycling Project of Hefei Rongjie Power Battery Recycling Co., Ltd.
It is reported that the project is located at the intersection of Huashan Road and Guangyuan Road in Huashan Industrial Park, Chaohu Economic Development Zone, Anhui Province. Covering an area of approximately 156.51 mu, the project will be constructed in two plots.
Upon completion, the project will have an annual processing capacity of 40,000 tonnes (calculated as black mass) of retired lithium-ion batteries. It is expected to produce 10,000 tonnes of ternary precursor, 8,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate, 6,000 tonnes of electro-winning nickel, and 5,000 tonnes of battery-grade manganese sulfate annually.
