On December 16, Zhongke Electric announced that the company has signed an investment agreement with the Management Committee of Sichuan Luzhou (Yangtze River) Economic Development Zone. The company plans to invest in the construction of the Integrated Project for 300,000 Tonnes of Lithium-Ion Battery Anode Materials in the Sichuan Luzhou (Yangtze River) Economic Development Zone.
The total investment for the project is approximately Yuan 7 billion, and it will be carried out in two phases. The first phase involves the construction of an integrated production base for 200,000 tonnes per year of lithium-ion battery anode materials, with an estimated investment of around Yuan 4.7 billion. The second phase will focus on building an integrated production base for 100,000 tonnes per year of lithium-ion battery anode materials, with an investment of approximately Yuan 2.3 billion. The project will occupy about 1,500 mu (approximately 100 hectares) of land and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
