China's coal imports via Ganqimaodu top 38 mln t by mid-Dec

China's coal imports via Ganqimaodu, its key land port on the border with Mongolia, reached 38.24 million tonnes this year as of December 15, according to a post released by the port on December 17.

Mysteel's tracking data showed a similar result, with 37.09 million tonnes cleared customs at Ganqimaodu by December 13, close to the 38.13 million tonnes recorded for the full year of 2024. Mongolia continued to sell coal through the Mongolian Stock Exchange, with Ganqimaodu serving as the most important delivery point.
