Freight transport via Daqin railway drops over 7% MoM in December

China's Datong-Qinhuangdao (Daqin) railway shipped 34.4 million tonnes of bulk commodities in December last year, lower by 7.5% from November and by 1.7% on year, according to the latest announcement released by the operator, Daqin Railway Co., Ltd.

On a daily basis, Daqin's freight transport also averaged 1.11 million tonnes/day last month, lower by 10.5% from the daily rate during November, with an average of 71.5 heavy-haul trains operating on the line per day, around 12 fewer than in November. However, despite the dip in December, Daqin's cumulative
