China EVA capacity to surge by 1.09 mln t/y or 21.8% in 2026

EVA Capacity Industry Supply
China's EVA sector is set to add 1.09 million t/y of capacity in 2026, mainly in East and South China. Monthly output is forecast to average 310,000 tonnes, up 21.8% YoY, with capacity utilization rate reaching 81%. The market is expected to remain structurally loose amid rising supply pressure.
In 2026, China plans to add 8 EVA units, with new capacity reaching 1.09 million tonnes/year, accelerating compared to 2025. Most of the new capacity is located in East and South China. The largest addition will come from Guangxi Huayi Energy and Chemical, which will start up two 200,000
