China identifies 183 million tonnes of bauxite resources at huge Shanxi deposit

A reserves evaluation based on a detailed geological survey of the Shenjiazhuang bauxite mining area in Xiaoyi city in North China's Shanxi province has recently confirmed that the deposit contains some 183 million tonnes of bauxite resources, according to a news report by China Natural Resources News. Its size makes it not only a super-large single bauxite deposit but also the largest bauxite deposit currently identified in China, the report declared.
