China Shenhua, China Coal Energy see better MoM coal sales in December

Two leading Chinese coal miners headquartered in Beijing, China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. and China Coal Energy Co., Ltd., both reported higher coal sales on month in December, according to the latest monthly operation reports of the two companies.

Last month, coal sales at China Shenhua reached 41.4 million tonnes, up 11.9% from November and 8.9% on year. China Coal Energy's coal sales also edged up in December, albeit by a much smaller 0.6% from November to total 21.88 million tonnes, although the volume was still down 23%
