GACC: China's 2025 ferrous scrap imports rise 10% YoY

Steel Scrap Global Import/Export Price
China's imports of ferrous scrap during 2025 totalled 273,300 tonnes, higher by a significant 10.3% compared with the previous year, according to the latest statistics from the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC).
In December, China's imports of ferrous scrap also increased 10.3% on year to reach 24,429 tonnes, though the volume was lower by 18.6% from November, the GACC data showed.   The on-year growth was attributed to rapid rises in the country's imports of stainless steel scrap and other alloy steel scrap
