On January 27, the People's Government of Kunming City, the Management Committee of Yunnan Dianzhong New Area, and CATL signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement. The collaboration will focus on four key areas, including new energy batteries, green energy, green transportation, and the low-altitude economy. The agreement includes plans to establish a green intelligent manufacturing base for lithium batteries in Yunnan Dianzhong New Area, with construction scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
