EEC extends AD duties on Chinese welded stainless pipes
Duty rates remain unchanged at 14.62% for Foshan Vinmay Stainless Steel Co., Ltd., and 17.28% for Guangdong Sumwin New Material Group Co., Ltd. and all other Chinese producers.
The duties apply to welded corrosion-resistant stainless steel pipes with a wall thickness between 0.4mm and 6mm, and with circular, square, or rectangular cross-sections. The affected products fall under the following Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) tariff codes: 7306 40 200 9, 7306 40 800 1, 7306 40 800 8, and 7306 61 100 9.
The decision follows a sunset review investigation initiated by the EEC on November 13 last year. The review was launched after the EEC Department for Internal Market Protection received a formal request to examine whether allowing the existing duties to lapse would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the domestic industry within the EAEU customs territory.
The original AD measures were first imposed on February 12 2021, for a five-year term.
