China's JISCO commissions world's first integrated CSP-HSM line

Jiuquan Iron & Steel Co (JISCO), a major state-owned steel producer headquartered in Jiayuguan in Northwest China’s Gansu province, has announced the commissioning of new facilities at its wholly-owned Hongxing Hongyu New Materials Co, that for the first time “integrate a compact strip production (CSP) facility with an hot strip mill (HSM)” to directly link thin-slab casting with conventional hot rolling.
