Recently, Gotion High-tech and BASF signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in Hefei City to jointly develop next-generation solid-state battery technology. This collaboration will fully leverage the core strengths of both parties in material innovation and battery R&D, marking a new stage of scale and systematic advancement in Gotion High-tech's strategic layout for next-generation solid-state batteries.
According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on collaborative innovation, targeting joint R&D of high-performance materials for next-generation solid-state batteries. The scope of research covers multiple core materials. By combining Gotion High-tech's capabilities in the industrialization of solid-state battery technology with BASF's deep expertise in materials R&D, the partnership aims to achieve precise breakthroughs in the technical bottlenecks hindering the commercialization of solid-state batteries. This will be realized through joint design of batteries and their systems, as well as targeted development in related material fields. Furthermore, both parties will explore market promotion strategies for the R&D outcomes of this collaboration, accelerating the transfer of innovative results to the global market and empowering diverse applications such as new energy vehicles and energy storage.
