On February 10, the Sanming Economic Development Zone in Fujian Province and Xiamen Leading Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd. held an investment project signing ceremony, reaching a cooperation consensus on the landing of an annual 4 GWh lithium-ion battery and sodium-ion battery production line project.
It is reported that the project is planned to be located in the Sanming Jikou Emerging Industrial Park, with a total investment of Yuan 10 billion. The construction will be carried out in three phases. The first phase will involve leasing 20,000 square meters of standard factory buildings, primarily focusing on both lithium and sodium battery sectors. The plan includes building an annual 4 GWh battery cell and module production line, covering an integrated layout of R&D, production, testing, and sales. The products will be widely used in areas such as light electric vehicles, backup power supplies, and small household appliances. Upon reaching full capacity, the project is expected to achieve a daily production output of 440,000 battery units.
