On February 24, the centralized commencement ceremony for major projects in Ningxiang City, Changsha, Hunan Province for the first quarter of 2026 was held at the site of Shengxian Technology's new-generation lithium battery R&D and comprehensive production base project in Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone. A total of 30 projects commenced on this day, with a combined total investment of Yuan 23.76 billion and a planned investment of Yuan 8.45 billion for 2026.
Among the projects that commenced, Zhejiang Shengyu Technology Co., Ltd. will construct a 60 GWH new-generation lithium battery cell and supporting module and PACK project in two phases. It is estimated that upon full completion and operation, the project can meet the battery demands of approximately 1 million electric vehicles (including construction machinery) or over 50 large-scale commercial energy storage power stations, helping Hunan accelerate its development into a leading hub for the new energy industry.
