CISA: Members' daily crude steel output rises further in mid-Feb

Daily crude steel output among the member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) averaged 2.03 million tonnes/day during February 11-20, gaining by 4.3% or by 83,000 t/d from the previous ten-day period, according to the latest release from the association on February 26. In parallel, production of finished steel among member mills averaged 1.9 million t/d over February 11-20, up substantially by 8.6% or 151,000 t/d from the February 1-10 period.

The February 11-20 average for crude steel was lower by 5.7% from the corresponding period last year, however.
