On February 28, the Yichang City Ecology and Environment Bureau issued the First Public Notice on the Environmental Impact Assessment of the Hubei Yihua Group 600,000 Tonnes/Year Lithium Iron Phosphate Project.
It is reported that the project has a total investment of Yuan 4.89375 billion. Utilizing iron phosphate, lithium carbonate, and other materials as the primary raw materials, it will adopt a semi-solid phase process to construct a 600,000 tonnes/year LFP production facility, complete with corresponding auxiliary utilities. The main product will be LFP cathode materials, with by-products including ammonium sulfate and carbon.
