CSLPC: CNY break lowers China's steel PMI in February

China's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the steel industry pulled back in February to register 46.7 after January's recovery, according to the latest release from index compiler the CFLP Steel Logistics Professional Committee (CSLPC) published on March 4. The result represented a 3.2-point on-month retreat, reflecting the influence of this year's nine-day Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday on the country's steel industry when demand for finished steel largely ground to a halt.
