On February 27th, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Chizhou City, Anhui Province, officially accepted the Environmental Impact Report for the Annual 280,000-tonne Lithium Battery New Materials Technical Transformation Project submitted by Chizhou Tinci High-Tech Materials Co., Ltd., and commenced the public notification for the project's environmental assessment documents.
According to the published information, the total investment for the project is Yuan 315 million. The construction entity is Chizhou Tinci High-Tech Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary under Tinci Materials. The plan is to carry out technical upgrades based on the existing 150,000-tonne-per-year lithium battery new materials project, increasing its production capacity to 280,000 tonnes per year.
Upon completion of the technical transformation, the project will achieve an annual production scale of 280,000 tonnes of liquid LiPF6, comprising 90,000 tonnes/year of EMC-based liquid LiPF6, 90,000 tonnes/year of DMC-based liquid LiPF6, and 100,000 tonnes/year of ethyl acetate-based liquid LiPF6. Additionally, the project will yield by-products including 1,250 tonnes/year of EMC solvent, 1,250 tonnes/year of DMC solvent, and 1,380 tonnes/year of ethyl acetate solvent.
