The domestic waste battery market exhibited a stalemate between supply and demand, and the average price shifted slightly downward. As the operating rates of downstream precursor and cathode material plants steadily increased, market inquiries for battery scrap purchases saw some recovery in sentiment. However, current downstream purchase prices for metal salts are somewhat suppressed, making it difficult for hydrometallurgical plants to offer high purchase prices for battery scrap. Generally, holders of battery scrap adopted a bullish outlook and were reluctant to sell, resulting in tight spot supply. Overall transaction volumes have not yet seen significant expansion.
