'Two Sessions': NPC delegate proposes stronger carbon asset management in key industries

Zhang Ronghua, Chairperson of steel producer Rockcheck Group’s board of directors and a delegate to the National People’s Congress (NPC), has called for stronger carbon asset management among China’s key enterprises to help them better adapt to the expansion of the country’s national carbon market.

She made the proposal during China's ongoing "Two Sessions" political meetings in Beijing, according to a report by World Metals, a Chinese iron and steel industry media outlet. As China expands its national carbon emissions trading system to cover eight key industries, including power generation, steel, and petrochemicals, some companies
