FLASH: Tanzania's first solar power plant fully connected to the grid

Recently, the Shinyanga 50MW photovoltaic project, Tanzania's first solar power plant constructed by PowerChina, achieved full-capacity grid connection and commenced power generation. Located in Shinyanga city, Shinyanga region, the project has a total installed capacity of 50MW. Upon full operation, it is expected to generate approximately 72 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 57,000 tonnes per year.
