NBS: China's power generation in Jan-Feb grows 4.1% YoY

China's power generation from all sources during January-February climbed by 4.1% on year to reach 1.57 trillion kilowatt hours (kWh), data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on March 16 show.

The increase has accelerated from a modest yearly gain of 0.1% in December 2025 and marked a reversal from a 1.3% fall recorded a year earlier, driven mainly by stronger output from thermal and hydroelectric power units in the first two months of this year, Mysteel notes. The country's daily
