According to data from General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, China's imports of unwrought cobalt totaled 1,900.75 tonnes in January 2026. Based on a 99.8% grade, this is equivalent to 1,896.95 metal tonnes of cobalt, representing a month-on-month increase of 12.39% and a substantial year-on-year surge of 281.07%. The import value for the month was approximately US$81.237963 million, with an average import price of US$42,739.95/t.
