China's lithium carbonate imports stood at 26,400 tonnes in February, down 1.6% month on month but up 114.4% year on year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Specially, the imports from Chile amounted to 15,400 tonnes, down 4.3% month-on-month and up 102.8% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the imports from Argentina reached 10,352.88 tonnes, up 19.1% month-on-month and 135.9% year-on-year.
China's imports of lithium carbonate from January to February totaled 53,300 tonnes, an increase of 64.2% YoY.
