The Zijin Element Material Technology's project, with an annual capacity of 25,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate produced from crude lithium carbonate, has commenced trial production at the Jiaoyang New Materials Industrial Park in Shanghang, Longyan City, Fujian Province, following the completion of preliminary construction and commissioning.
Using crude lithium carbonate as feedstock, the project employs a carbonation process combined with resin-based deep impurity removal to refine high-quality battery-grade lithium carbonate. The output will be supplied directly to the group's in-house lithium iron phosphate cathode material production line, creating an integrated internal synergy across "lithium resources-lithium carbonate-cathode materials."
