On April 8, Tianqi Lithium stated at its performance briefing that since the beginning of the second quarter, tightness in lithium resource supply has been gradually emerging. Given that the construction, resumption, and expansion cycles of lithium mines are all longer than those of the lithium salt processing segment, combined with external environmental changes and other influencing factors, lithium concentrate supply is expected to remain tight in H1 2026.
In the long term, the new energy industry presents vast development opportunities. Against the backdrop of the global energy structure transition and evolving external environments, the necessity of complementarity between new energy and traditional energy is becoming increasingly evident. Meanwhile, emerging application scenarios such as energy storage and robotics continue to grow, driving sustained demand for lithium salts and related key materials. Over the next three to five years, the company will closely follow cutting-edge industry trends, aligning upstream key materials with next-generation technological roadmaps such as solid-state batteries, to provide high-quality lithium products to the market.
