Recently, the Hengyang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Hunan Province released the Public Notice on the Acceptance of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the 10,000 Tonnes Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Production Project of Hunan Bicheng Technology Co., Ltd.
The project is planned to be constructed by Hunan Bicheng Technology Co., Ltd. within its existing plant site located in the Hengshan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. The company is currently a large-scale enterprise specializing in the production of high-end calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide. It operates two rotary kiln high-activity lime production lines and one calcium hydroxide production line, with an annual production capacity of 380,000 tonnes of high-activity lime and 110,000 tonnes of calcium hydroxide.
To further expand its market presence, the company plans to decommission its high-activity lime production lines and cease the production of 380,000 tonnes of high-activity lime. It intends to utilize the existing site of the high-activity lime production lines and the rotary kilns to construct a 10,000 tonnes per year battery-grade lithium carbonate production project.
