Indias iron ore imports rose to 12.35 million tonnes (mnt) in FY'26, a seven-year high, according to data. Imports nearly doubled y-o-y from 6.49 mnt in FY25, driven by rising domestic steel demand, supply constraints in key mining regions due to suspension of activities, a prolonged monsoon, and fluctuations
