On April 10, the commissioning ceremony for PT Hanrui Nickel Indonesia's 20,000-tonnes-per-annum (nickel metal content) oxygen-enriched continuous converting high-grade nickel matte project was held at the Huabao Industrial Park in Indonesia. Zhang Yuqiang, Chairman of the Board of Zhenshi Holding Group, Liang Jie, Chairman of Hanrui Cobalt, along with other leaders and guests, attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, representatives from the project's design and construction teams delivered remarks, pledging to advance all work to higher standards to ensure the project achieves stable production and efficient operation as soon as possible.
Wang Yuan, Executive President of Zhenshi Holding Group, stated in his address that the successful commissioning of the Hanrui Indonesia high-grade nickel matte project represents a major achievement in Hanrui Cobalt's global industrial chain layout and a vivid example of deeper collaboration and coordinated international development between Zhenshi and Hanrui. Looking ahead, the industrial park will continue to improve infrastructure and support facilities, enabling the project to play a greater role in green and low-carbon development and industrial chain value enhancement.
Zhang Aiqing, President of Hanrui Cobalt, welcomed and thanked the guests attending the ceremony. He noted that the project is a key step in Hanrui Cobalt's global expansion strategy and an important practice in responding to the Belt and Road Initiative and supporting the development of the new energy industry. Regarding the project's subsequent operation, he emphasized the need to continuously strengthen efforts in nickel resource security, operational management improvement, and international brand building to ensure high-standard operation and create a benchmark project.
The ceremony also featured the symbolic ignition by Zhang Yuqiang, Liang Jie, and other guests. The 20,000 tpa oxygen-enriched continuous converting high-grade nickel matte project employs a world-first technology developed by Dongneng Zhuohuan Exploration & Design Co., Ltd. -- an oxygen-enriched side-blown process for directly reducing lateritic nickel ore to produce low-grade nickel matte, followed by oxygen-enriched continuous converting to produce high-grade nickel matte. Building on proven and mature process solutions, the technology has been continuously iterated and upgraded, offering broad raw material flexibility, outstanding environmental performance, and significant economic benefits.
